If you want to get a great copier lease then you need to work with a copier leasing agent that you trust. Its unfortunate, but there are a lot of copier leasing agencies that do not really care about your business. All that they want is to get you to sign the most expensive lease that they can convince you that you need. This is why we believe it’s important to have some questions for your leasing agent to see if they are on your side or not.
These questions are just a starter point. The idea is to put your agent in a spot where you can tell if they want to help you, or if they just want to move the process along so that you can sign a contract.
- What’s the total cost breakdown for my lease? This is probably the best question you can ask a leasing agent. See if they will give you a detailed breakdown of your payments. You need to understand all your payments besides just your lease payment. Do not let them back down from this.
- Is a tabloid copier worth it? Tabloid copiers are the biggest, most expensive machines most places offer. They are great for large operations but many business do not need them. If you feel like you are being talked into an expensive machine then they might just want your money.
- What kind of support will I get? You are going to want to understand what kind of help you will get when things turn ugly. Make sure that these people are on your side and actually care about your well being.
Questions like these can give you a good idea of who you are working with. Don’t stick with anyone that you don’t think has your best interests at heart. These people probably only want your money, and that is not someone that you want to work with when your business is on the line.
